In the relaxed PRS setting, suppose ggg is real valued, convex, differentiable, and has a (1/β)(1/\beta)(1/β)-Lipschitz gradient for β>0\beta>0β>0. Let z∗z^*z∗ be a fixed point of TPRST_{\rm PRS}TPRS, let x∗=Pgz∗x^*=P_gz^*x∗=Pgz∗, and let xfk,xgkx_f^k,x_g^kxfk,xgk be the proximal points from iteration kkk. For every k≥0k\ge0k≥0,

∥zk−z∗∥2≤3(∥xfk−x∗∥2+∥γ∇g(xgk)−γ∇g(x∗)∥2+∥xgk−xfk∥2).\|z^k-z^*\|^2\le 3\left(\|x_f^k-x^*\|^2+\|\gamma\nabla g(x_g^k)-\gamma\nabla g(x^*)\|^2+\|x_g^k-x_f^k\|^2\right).∥zk−z∗∥2≤3(∥xfk−x∗∥2+∥γ∇g(xgk)−γ∇g(x∗)∥2+∥xgk−xfk∥2).

This bounds the fixed-point distance by the three quantities controlled in (4.6). The equality of the selected proximal subgradient and the smooth gradient is part of the mathematical content; it is not an added hypothesis.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
