Let (Ki)(K_i)(Ki) be a finite family of complete nonarchimedean normed fields in which the norm of one integer nnn is strictly less than one. Given a principal unit uiu_iui in each field and any positive target radius cic_ici, one can choose a single exponent nkn^knk such that uinku_i^{n^k}uink lies within distance cic_ici of one simultaneously for every iii. Pointwise contraction of nkn^knkth powers is already proved in Definitions.Def_OneUnits; finiteness upgrades these pointwise limits to one common exponent. In the Leopoldt mission, the index set can encode both a Galois conjugate and a prime above ppp.

Direct formal consequence of the explicit principal-unit contraction theorem IsUltrametricDist.tendsto_pow_pow_sub_one in Definitions.Def_OneUnits, used to prepare global units for the logarithmic independence criterion in the Leopoldt CM mission (Preda Mihăilescu, On CM Z_p-extensions and the Leopoldt conjecture for CM fields, https://arxiv.org/abs/1105.4544, Section 1.1).

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
