Let (λ,ρ)(\lambda,\rho)(λ,ρ) be a Markov chain choice model satisfying the standing assumptions and let (x^,z^)∈H(\hat x,\hat z)\in\mathcal H(x^,z^)∈H. If Sx^={j∈N:x^j>0}=∅S_{\hat x}=\{j\in N:\hat x_j>0\}=\emptysetSx^={j∈N:x^j>0}=∅, then

(x^,z^)=(P∅,R∅),(\hat x,\hat z)=(P_\emptyset,R_\emptyset),(x^,z^)=(P∅,R∅),

the solution of the (Balance) equations for the empty offer set.

This is the configuration in which the Dimension Reduction algorithm stops in Step 1.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
