Consider the dispatching and routing model under its standing assumptions, a period 1≤n≤N1 \le n \le N1≤n≤N and any nonnegative APT parameters {ωmn′(Km)}\{\omega^{n'}_m(K^m)\}{ωmn′(Km)}. For driver statuses ζ1n≥ζ2n\zeta^n_1 \ge \zeta^n_2ζ1n≥ζ2n componentwise,

VAPTn(ζ1n)≥VAPTn(ζ2n).V^n_{APT}(\zeta^n_1) \ge V^n_{APT}(\zeta^n_2).VAPTn(ζ1n)≥VAPTn(ζ2n).

The approximation thus keeps the monotonicity of the true value function in the driver status (part (i) of the lemma).

Formalization Note. Nonnegativity of the parameters is built into their type (R≥0\mathbb R_{\ge 0}R≥0). VAPTnV^n_{APT}VAPTn is in [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞] and is +∞+\infty+∞ when APT is infeasible.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
