Consider the dispatching and routing model under its standing assumptions and a period 1≤n≤N1 \le n \le N1≤n≤N. For every realized demand (In,qn)(\mathcal I^n, q^n)(In,qn) and driver statuses ζ1n,ζ2n\zeta^n_1, \zeta^n_2ζ1n,ζ2n with ζ1n≥ζ2n\zeta^n_1 \ge \zeta^n_2ζ1n≥ζ2n componentwise,

Hn(In,qn,ζ1n)≥Hn(In,qn,ζ2n).\mathcal H_n(\mathcal I^n, q^n, \zeta^n_1) \ge \mathcal H_n(\mathcal I^n, q^n, \zeta^n_2).Hn(In,qn,ζ1n)≥Hn(In,qn,ζ2n).

More drivers en route can only increase the optimal expected cost; this is the structural property the approximation APT is designed to share (part (ii) of the lemma).

Formalization Note. "ζ1n≥ζ2n\zeta^n_1 \ge \zeta^n_2ζ1n≥ζ2n" is the componentwise order on status vectors indexed by all periods. Values are in [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞].

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
