Let k\mathbb kk be any nontrivially normed field, let EEE be a normed additive commutative group with a normed k\mathbb kk-vector-space structure, let HHH be a topological space, and let III be a model with corners from HHH to EEE: its forward map is a continuous embedding defined on all of HHH, its inverse is a continuous total map E→HE\to HE→H inverse on the range, and its range has nonempty interior; that range is convex over the induced real scalars when k\mathbb kk has a compatible real- or complex-field structure, and is all of EEE otherwise. Let nnn be any nonnegative integer, ∞\infty∞, or ω\omegaω, denoting respectively finite differentiability order, smoothness, or analyticity, and let M,M′M,M'M,M′ be topological spaces with chosen atlases and preferred local charts into HHH, both satisfying the CnC^nCn manifold compatibility condition for III. Here that compatibility means every atlas transition ψ\psiψ and its inverse become CnC^nCn in EEE after conjugation by III, on I(source⁡ψ)I(\operatorname{source}\psi)I(sourceψ) and I(target⁡ψ)I(\operatorname{target}\psi)I(targetψ) respectively. For every homeomorphism h:M→M′h:M\to M'h:M→M′ such that, for every atlas chart ccc of MMM and c′c'c′ of M′M'M′, the partial coordinate map ψ=c′∘h∘c−1\psi=c'\circ h\circ c^{-1}ψ=c′∘h∘c−1 and its inverse satisfy those same CnC^nCn conditions after conjugation by III on their respective domains, the underlying map hhh is CnC^nCn as a manifold map relative to III on both sides. Explicitly, at each x∈Mx\in Mx∈M it is continuous at xxx, and, writing κx=I∘cx\kappa_x=I\circ c_xκx=I∘cx for the extended preferred chart at xxx, the coordinate expression κh(x)∘h∘κx−1\kappa_{h(x)}\circ h\circ\kappa_x^{-1}κh(x)∘h∘κx−1 is CnC^nCn at κx(x)\kappa_x(x)κx(x) within I(H)I(H)I(H). The order n=0n=0n=0 is included; there is no finite-dimensionality or completeness assumption on EEE. Empty coordinate overlaps impose vacuous conditions, and an empty MMM or M′M'M′ is allowed, with the assumed homeomorphism then forcing both to be empty.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
