Nonnegative linear packing regions are downward closed

Let a feasible scale vector t satisfy a finite family of linear packing inequalities whose coefficients are all nonnegative. Any other nonnegative vector s bounded coordinatewise by t is feasible as well. This elementary downward-closure property is used for exact simultaneous Minkowski-summand extraction regions: once a collection of candidate scales can be removed, reducing any subset of those scales preserves feasibility.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
