goldbachnumber-theoryprimes

For every even natural number n>4⋅1018n > 4\cdot 10^{18}n>4⋅1018 there exist primes p,qp, qp,q with n=p+qn = p + qn=p+q.

This is the unproved tail of the even Goldbach conjecture: the claim is exactly the part of Goldbach's conjecture that lies beyond the largest computationally verified bound 4⋅10184\cdot 10^{18}4⋅1018 (Oliveira e Silva–Herzog–Pardi). Together with the verified range it is equivalent to the full even Goldbach conjecture.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
