This is the integrated CD(ρ,∞)CD(\rho,\infty)CD(ρ,∞) inequality for a weighted Laplacian.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space, let mmm be an additive Haar measure, and let U,f:E→RU,f:E\to\mathbb RU,f:E→R. Assume:

  1. UUU is C2C^2C2.
  2. fff is C3C^3C3 and has compact support.
  3. For some ρ∈R\rho\in\mathbb Rρ∈R, every x,v∈Ex,v\in Ex,v∈E satisfy
ρ∥v∥2≤D2U(x)[v,v].\rho\|v\|^2\le D^2U(x)[v,v].ρ∥v∥2≤D2U(x)[v,v].

With μ=m.tilted⁡(−U)\mu=m.\operatorname{tilted}(-U)μ=m.tilted(−U) and gamma given by Γ(f)=∥∇f∥2\Gamma(f)=\|\nabla f\|^2Γ(f)=∥∇f∥2,

ρ∫Γ(f) dμ≤∫(weightedLaplacian⁡(U,f))2 dμ.\rho\int\Gamma(f)\,d\mu\le\int\bigl(\operatorname{weightedLaplacian}(U,f)\bigr)^2\,d\mu.ρ∫Γ(f)dμ≤∫(weightedLaplacian(U,f))2dμ.

This is the integrated coercivity estimate obtained from a pointwise Hessian lower bound and is useful in weighted diffusion arguments.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
