Let WWW be a Brownian motion with Brownian filtration, let GGG be a simple predictable integrand, and assume all coefficients of GGG are strongly measurable at their preceding partition times. Suppose the evaluation of GGG is jointly measurable, progressively measurable, and has finite squared ENNReal energy on every positive time interval. Then, for every t≥0t≥0t≥0,

stochasticIntegralBrownian(G,t)=simpleIntegral(W,G,t)P-almost everywhere.\texttt{stochasticIntegralBrownian}(G,t)=\texttt{simpleIntegral}(W,G,t)\quad P\text{-almost everywhere}.stochasticIntegralBrownian(G,t)=simpleIntegral(W,G,t)P-almost everywhere.

The conclusion is equality of random variables modulo PPP-null sets. This identifies the abstract L² Itô integral with the elementary finite-sum construction on simple predictable inputs.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
