Let pP be a procedure whose body is pow2Body pP. Let N∈NN\in\mathbb NN∈N, with ℓ,β,k,M,Q,N′\ell,\beta,k,M,Q,N'ℓ,β,k,M,Q,N′ the parameters fmL, fmB, fmK, fmM, fmQ, fmN' of NNN (as in fmMain_runs). Assume β≤ℓ/2\beta\le\ell/2β≤ℓ/2, k≤N′k\le N'k≤N′, 1≤N′≤N1\le N'\le N1≤N′≤N, Q≤NQ\le NQ≤N, ℓ≤N\ell\le Nℓ≤N and that PRM has NNN on top. Then fmParams pP runs from sss to the state obtained by pushing

onto the respective stacks (all other stacks unchanged), with cost at most

1000(ℓ+1)2+1000(β+1)2+30000(ℓ+3)+180000(N+3).1000(\ell+1)^2+1000(\beta+1)^2+30000(\ell+3)+180000(N+3).1000(ℓ+1)2+1000(β+1)2+30000(ℓ+3)+180000(N+3).

These rulers (2m2^m2m items) drive the shifts and splits of the subsequent segments, and the new ring Z/(2N′+1)\mathbb Z/(2^{N'}+1)Z/(2N′+1) on RN/RF together with N′N'N′ on PRM sets up the recursive calls. The computation uses bit lengths and a recursive power-of-two procedure, so its cost is O(N)O(N)O(N).

Formalization Note. States are IState NS records with item stacks G : Fin NS → List Item (head = top), input pointer ip and output out; s.upd X L replaces stack X by L; ints A is the list of integer items of A. The named stacks (ARG, PRM, RN, RF, DX, DL, …) are fixed indices in Fin 32. IRuns I iprog p s s' c means that p executes from s to exactly s' with some cost c′≤cc' \le cc′≤c, so costs are upper bounds; the program text iprog and input I are arbitrary unless constrained.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
