This theorem transfers a local-slope Poincaré constant to the associated identity-weighted pre-energy test family.

Let VVV be a finite-dimensional complete real inner-product normed space with its Borel measurable structure and second-countable topology. Let ν\nuν be a probability measure on VVV, let mmm be an additive Haar measure, and assume

  1. ν≪m\nu\ll mν≪m;
  2. ν(∂supp⁡ν)=0\nu(\partial\operatorname{supp}\nu)=0ν(∂suppν)=0;
  3. for a constant C∈[0,∞)C\in[0,\infty)C∈[0,∞) represented by NNReal, the predicate Poincare.LocalSlope.Holds ν C holds.

Then the same constant satisfies the test-family inequality for the pre-energy generated by the identity-weighted gradient operator:

TestFamily.Holds⁡ ⁣(TestFamily.ofPreEnergy⁡(ν,PreEnergy.ofLinearPMap⁡(WeightedGradient.operator⁡(ν,id⁡,ν≪m))),C).\operatorname{TestFamily.Holds}\!\left( \operatorname{TestFamily.ofPreEnergy}(\nu, \operatorname{PreEnergy.ofLinearPMap}(\operatorname{WeightedGradient.operator}(\nu,\operatorname{id},\nu\ll m))),C \right).TestFamily.Holds(TestFamily.ofPreEnergy(ν,PreEnergy.ofLinearPMap(WeightedGradient.operator(ν,id,ν≪m))),C).

The declaration is holds_ofPreEnergy_of_localSlope_readable. It is a comparison result between two formally defined Poincaré predicates; it does not assert that such a constant exists or is finite.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
