Let J(a,z)J(a,z)J(a,z) satisfy Assumption 4: it is continuously differentiable and uniformly ℓc\ell_cℓc-strongly convex in aaa, and its action derivative is ℓJ\ell_JℓJ-Lipschitz in zzz. For any z1,z2∈L2(I)z^1,z^2\in L^2(I)z1,z2∈L2(I), let BzBzBz be the profile of pointwise minimizers of J(⋅,z(x))J(\cdot,z(x))J(⋅,z(x)). Then

∥Bz1−Bz2∥L2(I)≤ℓJℓc∥z1−z2∥L2(I).\|Bz^1-Bz^2\|_{L^2(I)}\leq\frac{\ell_J}{\ell_c}\|z^1-z^2\|_{L^2(I)}.∥Bz1−Bz2∥L2(I)≤ℓcℓJ∥z1−z2∥L2(I).

This controls how a change in the aggregate changes each player's best response.

Formalization Note The choice of a minimizer is encoded by classical choice; Assumption 4 supplies its existence and uniqueness. The norm inequality is in extended nonnegative reals, so an infinite left side cannot become zero under conversion.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
