Let AAA be a nonempty finite set of points in the Euclidean plane. Suppose that every point p∈Ap\in Ap∈A has at least four points of AAA at one common positive distance from ppp, with the radius allowed to depend on ppp. Then ∣A∣≥5|A|\ge 5∣A∣≥5. This is the first cardinality bound in the counting obstruction.

# Counting obstruction: `9 ≤ |A|` (Milestone 3)

This module packages the proven lower bound
`Problem97.six_mul_card_le_iCount_of_K4` and the proven arithmetic core
`Problem97.counting_arithmetic` into the intermediate theorem
`Problem97.counterexample_card_ge_nine_of_iCount_upper_bound`.

The top-level theorem `Problem97.counterexample_card_ge_nine` now
instantiates that reducer with the circumscribed-branch CGN closure
`Problem97.CGN8_circumscribed_iCount_upper_bound`.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
