Let there be n≥1n \ge 1n≥1 agents and k≥n2k \ge n^2k≥n2 tasks. Then for every allocation xxx of the tasks to the agents there is an agent iii with

∣xi∣≥n.|x^i| \ge n .∣xi∣≥n.

This is the pigeonhole step behind the sentence "Without loss of generality we assume that ∣x1(t)∣≥n|x^1(t)| \ge n∣x1(t)∣≥n" in the proof of Theorem 4.10, applied there to the allocation chosen at the all-ones type vector.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
