finite-staterandomized-ac0sampling

For every nonempty finite Markov chain MMM, there are natural constants D,C,kD,C,kD,C,k depending only on MMM. For every set FFF of states, every n≥0n\geq0n≥0 with Pr⁡[Xn∈F]>0\Pr[X_n\in F]>0Pr[Xn∈F]>0, and every 0<ϵ≤1/20<\epsilon\leq1/20<ϵ≤1/2, a nonuniform circuit samples the complete trajectory conditioned on Xn∈FX_n\in FXn∈F to total variation error at most ϵ\epsilonϵ. Its depth is at most DDD, its size is at most C((n+1)/ϵ)kC((n+1)/\epsilon)^kC((n+1)/ϵ)k, and its seed has at most C(n+log⁡2(1/ϵ))C(n+\log_2(1/\epsilon))C(n+log2(1/ϵ)) fair bits. Every output is a positive-probability trajectory ending in FFF. No positive lower bound on the acceptance probability is assumed. Taking F=QF=QF=Q gives the unconditioned approximate result.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
