Let TTT be the Syracuse map. The remaining high-period cycle assertion is

m>0,a≥7,Ta(m)=m⟹m=1.m>0,\quad a\ge 7,\quad T^a(m)=m \Longrightarrow m=1.m>0,a≥7,Ta(m)=m⟹m=1.

The cases a=1,…,6a=1,\ldots,6a=1,…,6 have separate proved formalizations. Thus this statement isolates precisely the unproved range needed to exclude all positive nontrivial Syracuse cycles. The integer aaa is an iterate period, not necessarily the least period.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
