Tensor products of 1-Lipschitz maps are 1-Lipschitz

Proved
IntMul.HvdH.lip_tensor

by xuanji · Oct 12, 2026 · Mathlib 0df444a (Lean v4.33.1)

integer-multiplication

If each one-dimensional map AiA_iAi (i<di<di<d) is 111-Lipschitz for the sup norm (SupLip, see IntMul_HvdH_FPApprox), then so is the slice-by-slice tensor product ⨂iAi\bigotimes_iA_i⨂iAi (tensorMap). For linear maps this is ∥⨂iAi∥≤1\|\bigotimes_iA_i\|\le1∥⨂iAi∥≤1 when every ∥Ai∥≤1\|A_i\|\le1∥Ai∥≤1.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
