For a spectrally negative Lévy process with q>0 and positive root ψ(φ)=q, the genuine Esscher tilted marginal at φ satisfies E_t^φ[exp(−(φ/2)X_t)]≤exp(−t q/2) at every nonnegative horizon t. This is an explicit exponential moment decay estimate, uniformly in t, obtained without any Wiener–Hopf factorisation.

The already-proven positive secant monotonicity yields ψ(φ/2)≤q/2. The exact previously-proven negative moment under the finite-time Esscher law gives exp(t(ψ(φ/2)−q)); monotonicity of real exponential and t≥0 supply the bound. Supports a geometric Chernoff argument on integer samples of the running infimum.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
