This statement gives a squared dual pairing estimate from a latent source identity.

Let ΩΩΩ be a measurable space with measure PPP, let μμμ be a probability measure on Rn\mathbb R^nRn, and let Z,F:Ω→RnZ,F:Ω\to\mathbb R^nZ,F:Ω→Rn. Assume:

  1. ZZZ is measurable and map Z P = μ;
  2. F∈L2(P)F\in L^2(P)F∈L2(P);
  3. v∈Rnv\in\mathbb R^nv∈Rn and h:Rn→Rh:\mathbb R^n\to\mathbb Rh:Rn→R is smooth with compact support;
  4. the source identity holds:
∫⟨x,v⟩h(x) dμ(x)=∫⟨F(w),∇h(Z(w))⟩ dP(w).\int \langle x,v\rangle h(x)\,dμ(x) = \int \langle F(w),∇h(Z(w))\rangle\,dP(w).∫⟨x,v⟩h(x)dμ(x)=∫⟨F(w),∇h(Z(w))⟩dP(w).

Then

(∫⟨x,v⟩h(x) dμ(x))2≤(∫∥F(w)∥2 dP(w))(∫∥Dh(x)∥2 dμ(x)).\left(\int \langle x,v\rangle h(x)\,dμ(x)\right)^2 \le \left(\int \|F(w)\|^2\,dP(w)\right) \left(\int \|Dh(x)\|^2\,dμ(x)\right).(∫⟨x,v⟩h(x)dμ(x))2≤(∫∥F(w)∥2dP(w))(∫∥Dh(x)∥2dμ(x)).

Here the derivative norm is expressed in Lean as ‖fderiv ℝ h x‖. The result is a general latent-space Cauchy–Schwarz bound and does not assume that ZZZ is invertible.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
