Let d>2d>2d>2, a≠0a\ne0a=0, and Rˇ(u)=a1+uP+bP∗\check R(u)=a\mathbf1+uP+bP_*Rˇ(u)=a1+uP+bP∗. Then:

  1. For every u≠0u\ne0u=0, Rˇ(u)\check R(u)Rˇ(u) fails the braid relation.
  2. With uuu as the spectral parameter, this family fails the multiplicative Yang–Baxter equation (14).
  3. If b≠0b\ne0b=0, it fails the additive Yang–Baxter equation (15).

These are the higher-dimensional exclusions needed for the corrected classification.

Formalization Note The paper's unqualified braid and additive claims have counterexamples at u=0u=0u=0 and b=0b=0b=0, respectively. The first is its own 1+vP∗\mathbf1+vP_*1+vP∗ solution in §6.1; the second is the rational family a1+uPa\mathbf1+uPa1+uP in §3.2. The corrected guards are explicit here.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
