For every natural number m>2⋅1018m > 2\cdot 10^{18}m>2⋅1018, the number of symmetric prime offsets satisfies

R(m)  ≥  S(2m) mlog⁡2m,S(2m)=∏p∣2mp>2p−1p−2.R(m) \;\ge\; \mathfrak{S}(2m)\,\frac{m}{\log^2 m}, \qquad \mathfrak{S}(2m) = \prod_{\substack{p \mid 2m \\ p > 2}} \frac{p-1}{p-2}.R(m)≥S(2m)log2mm,S(2m)=p∣2mp>2∏p−2p−1.

This is the quantitative Hardy–Littlewood main-term bound for the binary Goldbach representation count — the genuine analytic content of the conjecture: the circle method predicts R(m)∼2C2 S(2m) 2mlog⁡2mR(m) \sim 2C_2\,\mathfrak{S}(2m)\,\frac{2m}{\log^2 m}R(m)∼2C2S(2m)log2m2m, and a lower bound of this order would prove Goldbach. The local factor S\mathfrak{S}S is the nnn-dependent part of the singular series (it is ≥1\ge 1≥1; the universal factor 2C2≈1.322C_2 \approx 1.322C2≈1.32 is absorbed into the bound).

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
