Fix the model parameters and a capital share μH∈(0,1)\mu_H\in(0,1)μH∈(0,1) of HHH-LPs. In every private equity market equilibrium without a secondary market in which LLL-funds are raised, αL∗>0\alpha^*_L>0αL∗>0, the return to LLL-LPs equals their break-even return:

RˉPE,L∗=1+r(λ,δL).\bar R^*_{PE,L}=1+r(\lambda,\delta_L).RˉPE,L∗=1+r(λ,δL).

LLL-LPs therefore earn no rent whenever they are in the market; any return premium in equilibrium accrues to HHH-LPs.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
