This auxiliary lemma gives a Hölder estimate for the truncated running maximum.

Let fff be a nonnegative submartingale under a finite measure, let p>1p>1p>1, fix n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N, and let K>0K>0K>0. Then

∫(min⁡(fn∗,K))p dμ≤pp−1(∫fnp dμ)1/p(∫(min⁡(fn∗,K))p dμ)(p−1)/p.\int \big(\min(f_n^\ast,K)\big)^p\,d\mu \leq \frac{p}{p-1} \left(\int f_n^p\,d\mu\right)^{1/p} \left(\int \big(\min(f_n^\ast,K)\big)^p\,d\mu\right)^{(p-1)/p}.∫(min(fn∗,K))pdμ≤p−1p(∫fnpdμ)1/p(∫(min(fn∗,K))pdμ)(p−1)/p.

The integrals are represented as ENNReal lower integrals of ENNReal.ofReal powers.

This is the finite-truncation estimate used before taking a monotone supremum over KKK.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
