Let u∈C∖Q‾u \in \mathbb{C} \setminus \overline{\mathbb{Q}}u∈C∖Q with uuˉu\bar uuuˉ algebraic, put H0=Q‾+Q‾u+Q‾uˉH_0 = \overline{\mathbb{Q}} + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}u + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}\bar uH0=Q+Qu+Quˉ, and let z∉H0z \notin H_0z∈/H0. There are x1,x2x_1, x_2x1,x2, linearly independent over Q‾\overline{\mathbb{Q}}Q, and y1,y2,y3y_1, y_2, y_3y1,y2,y3, linearly independent over Q‾\overline{\mathbb{Q}}Q, with all six products xiyjx_i y_jxiyj in H0+Q‾zH_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}zH0+Qz if and only if

z∈H0+Q‾ wfor some w∈{u2,uˉ2}∪{1/(u−a):a∈Q‾, a≠0}.z \in H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}\,w \quad\text{for some } w \in \{u^2, \bar u^2\} \cup \{1/(u - a) : a \in \overline{\mathbb{Q}},\ a \neq 0\}.z∈H0+Qwfor some w∈{u2,uˉ2}∪{1/(u−a):a∈Q, a=0}.

This classifies the four-dimensional extensions of H0H_0H0 that carry a configuration of Roy's strong six exponentials theorem. A candidate for Diaz's conjecture satisfies the hypotheses (u∉Q‾u \notin \overline{\mathbb{Q}}u∈/Q by Hermite–Lindemann), but the statement does not involve eue^ueu, so it keeps its content if Diaz's conjecture holds. Since L~\widetilde{\mathcal{L}}L is closed under complex conjugation, a hypothesis z∈L~z \in \widetilde{\mathcal{L}}z∈L also brings zˉ\bar zzˉ; the five-dimensional spaces H0+Q‾z+Q‾zˉH_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}z + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}\bar zH0+Qz+Qzˉ are not covered.

Proof. If z∈H0+Q‾wz \in H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}wz∈H0+Qw, then w∈H0+Q‾zw \in H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}zw∈H0+Qz because z∉H0z \notin H_0z∈/H0, and the configuration of DiazModulus.circle_point_extension_carries_two_by_three_configuration lies in H0+Q‾zH_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}zH0+Qz. Conversely, DiazModulus.two_by_three_configuration_forces_progression writes V=H0+Q‾zV = H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}zV=H0+Qz as β(Q‾+Q‾h+Q‾h2+Q‾h3)\beta(\overline{\mathbb{Q}} + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}h + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}h^2 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}h^3)β(Q+Qh+Qh2+Qh3) with h∉Q‾h \notin \overline{\mathbb{Q}}h∈/Q, and DiazModulus.circle_hull_progression_contains_square_or_reciprocal puts in this progression, which contains 1,u,uˉ1, u, \bar u1,u,uˉ, one of w=u2w = u^2w=u2, w=uˉ2w = \bar u^2w=uˉ2 and w=1/(u−α)w = 1/(u - \alpha)w=1/(u−α) with α\alphaα algebraic and non-zero. Such a www is not in H0H_0H0: clearing denominators would make uuu a root of a non-zero polynomial of degree at most 333 over Q‾\overline{\mathbb{Q}}Q. As w∈H0+Q‾zw \in H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}zw∈H0+Qz and w∉H0w \notin H_0w∈/H0, exchange gives z∈H0+Q‾wz \in H_0 + \overline{\mathbb{Q}}wz∈H0+Qw.

Novelty. The classification was not found in the sources read. With Roy's strong six exponentials theorem, its "if" direction gives at a candidate the exclusions of Diaz (2007, Cor. 5(1) and 5(4)); every configuration has the shape of Fischler (2001, Lemma 6.1) and Diaz (2007, Th. 7(2)).

The classification was not found in the sources read. With the strong six exponentials theorem (D. Roy, Matrices whose coefficients are linear forms in logarithms, J. Number Theory 41 (1992), 22–47, Cor. 2), the "if" direction gives at a candidate the exclusions of G. Diaz, Produits et quotients de combinaisons linéaires de logarithmes de nombres algébriques : conjectures et résultats partiels, J. Théor. Nombres Bordeaux 19 (2007), 373–391, Cor. 5(1) and 5(4) (p. 383); every configuration has the shape of S. Fischler, Orbits under algebraic groups and logarithms of algebraic numbers, Acta Arith. 100 (2001), 167–187, Lemma 6.1 (p. 184), and of Diaz's Th. 7(2) (p. 390). Formal proof: Diaz modulus mission, 5 October 2026 (C. Perassi).

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
