Let m≥1m\ge 1m≥1 be an integer and α∈C\alpha\in\mathbb Cα∈C with α≠αˉ\alpha\ne\bar\alphaα=αˉ (that is, α\alphaα is not real), and let hα(t)=−t (tm+1) (αtm+αˉ)∈C[t]h_\alpha(t)=-t\,(t^m+1)\,(\alpha t^m+\bar\alpha)\in\mathbb C[t]hα(t)=−t(tm+1)(αtm+αˉ)∈C[t]. Let Lα=C(t)[W]/(W2−hα(t))L_\alpha=\mathbb C(t)[W]/(W^2-h_\alpha(t))Lα=C(t)[W]/(W2−hα(t)), and let ΩLα/C\Omega_{L_\alpha/\mathbb C}ΩLα/C be the module of Kähler differentials of LαL_\alphaLα over C\mathbb CC, with universal derivation ddd. Then

dim⁡LαΩLα/C=1andΩLα/C=Lα dt.\dim_{L_\alpha}\Omega_{L_\alpha/\mathbb C}=1\qquad\text{and}\qquad\Omega_{L_\alpha/\mathbb C}=L_\alpha\,dt.dimLαΩLα/C=1andΩLα/C=Lαdt.

LαL_\alphaLα is the function field of VαV_\alphaVα in the form of the double cover (7). In the formalization the genus mmm in Lemma 4 is computed from an explicit basis ti dt/wt^i\,dt/wtidt/w, 0≤i<m0\le i<m0≤i<m, of the holomorphic differentials, and this statement provides the one-dimensional space in which they live; orders of vanishing and the genus are not part of it.

Formalization Note: m>0m>0m>0 and α≠αˉ\alpha\ne\bar\alphaα=αˉ are Fact instances.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
