This theorem bounds the expected absolute value of off-diagonal Brownian cross terms in a vector Itô process.

Let WWW be a ddd-dimensional Brownian motion, let XXX be a vector Itô process with coefficients HHH, and assume the stated IsVectorItoVersion hypotheses. Suppose C≥0C\ge0C≥0 and every coefficient HmkH_{mk}Hmk is bounded in absolute value by CCC. Let p,q∈Fin⁡(n)p,q\in\operatorname{Fin}(n)p,q∈Fin(n), let distinct Brownian coordinates k≠lk\ne lk=l, let ϕ:Rn→R\phi:\mathbb R^n\to\mathbb Rϕ:Rn→R be continuous and bounded by Kϕ≥0K_\phi\ge0Kϕ≥0, and let T>0T>0T>0 and m≠0m\ne0m=0. Then the relevant cross-term sum is integrable and

E∣∑i<mϕ(Xti) Δik,l∣≤Kϕ2(6+g4)(C4+C4)2T2m.\mathbb E\left|\sum_{i<m}\phi(X_{t_i})\,\Delta_i^{k,l}\right| \le \sqrt{K_\phi^2\frac{(6+\mathsf g_4)(C^4+C^4)}{2}\frac{T^2}{m}}.Ei<m∑ϕ(Xti)Δik,l≤Kϕ22(6+g4)(C4+C4)mT2.

Here ti=unifGrid⁡(T,m,i)t_i=\operatorname{unifGrid}(T,m,i)ti=unifGrid(T,m,i) and Δik,l\Delta_i^{k,l}Δik,l is the product of the two coordinate Itô-integral increments on the grid cell. The estimate records the m−1/2m^{-1/2}m−1/2 decay of off-diagonal cross terms.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
