This gives the first-coordinate derivative of the posterior log-Laplace transform.

Let μ\muμ be a compactly supported probability measure on Rn\mathbb{R}^nRn, let z,u∈Rnz,u\in\mathbb{R}^nz,u∈Rn, and let p=(c,Q)p=(c,Q)p=(c,Q) be a localization parameter. Define

Λp(z)=ψ(c+z,Q)−ψ(c,Q).\Lambda_p(z)=\psi(c+z,Q)-\psi(c,Q).Λp(z)=ψ(c+z,Q)−ψ(c,Q).

Then

DcΛp(z)[u]=⟨u,posteriorMean⁡(μ,c+z,Q)−posteriorMean⁡(μ,c,Q)⟩.D_c\Lambda_p(z)[u] =\left\langle u,\operatorname{posteriorMean}(\mu,c+z,Q) -\operatorname{posteriorMean}(\mu,c,Q)\right\rangle.DcΛp(z)[u]=⟨u,posteriorMean(μ,c+z,Q)−posteriorMean(μ,c,Q)⟩.

This is a partial-derivative helper for the generator calculation of the posterior log-Laplace transform.
