Let b>0b>0b>0, let s∈Rs∈ℝs∈R, and let ω∈Ωω∈Ωω∈Ω. The elementary step integrand stepIoc₀ Ω hb, associated with the interval (0,b](0,b](0,b], evaluates as the indicator of that interval:

stepIoc₀(s,ω)=1(0,b](s).\texttt{stepIoc₀}(s,ω)=\mathbf{1}_{(0,b]}(s).stepIoc₀(s,ω)=1(0,b](s).

Equivalently, the value is 111 when 0<s≤b0<s≤b0<s≤b and 000 otherwise. The sample point ωωω is arbitrary because the step coefficient is constant in ωωω. This is an algebraic evaluation lemma for simple predictable integrands.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
