Let 0<a<b0<a<b0<a<b, let s∈Rs∈ℝs∈R, and let ω∈Ωω∈Ωω∈Ω. The elementary step integrand stepIoc Ω ha hab, associated with (a,b](a,b](a,b], evaluates to the indicator of that interval:

stepIoc(s,ω)=1(a,b](s).\texttt{stepIoc}(s,ω)=\mathbf{1}_{(a,b]}(s).stepIoc(s,ω)=1(a,b](s).

Thus the value is 111 exactly when a<s≤ba<s≤ba<s≤b, and is 000 otherwise. The result is pointwise in both sss and ωωω and is used to identify localized elementary integrals.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
