This is the local-moment form of Lemma 4.2 of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1).

Let μ\muμ be a probability measure on a finite-dimensional real inner-product space EEE. Assume:

  1. r>0r>0r>0 and er∥x∥e^{r\|x\|}er∥x∥ is integrable with respect to μ\muμ.
  2. μ\muμ is centered: ∫⟨v,x⟩ dμ(x)=0\int\langle v,x\rangle\,d\mu(x)=0∫⟨v,x⟩dμ(x)=0 for every v∈Ev\in Ev∈E.
  3. μ\muμ is isotropic: ∫⟨v,x⟩⟨w,x⟩ dμ(x)=⟨v,w⟩\int\langle v,x\rangle\langle w,x\rangle\,d\mu(x)=\langle v,w\rangle∫⟨v,x⟩⟨w,x⟩dμ(x)=⟨v,w⟩.
  4. μ\muμ satisfies LetwinQuadraticBound.

Then for every u∈Eu\in Eu∈E, with eje_jej the standard orthonormal basis,

∑j,kκ3(u,ej,ek)2≤8∥u∥2.\sum_{j,k}\kappa_3(u,e_j,e_k)^2\le 8\|u\|^2.j,k∑κ3(u,ej,ek)2≤8∥u∥2.

This is the Hilbert–Schmidt contraction estimate for the third cumulant under the stated local exponential-moment assumptions.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
