This formalizes BKL (42).

Let VVV be finite-dimensional, let ν=m.tilted(−U)\nu=m\mathbin{.}\mathrm{tilted}(-U)ν=m.tilted(−U) with U∈C2U\in C^2U∈C2, assume CP(ν)≤CC_P(\nu)\le CCP(ν)≤C, and let hhh be a level-kkk field. For an index position ℓ∈Fin(k+1)\ell\in\mathrm{Fin}(k+1)ℓ∈Fin(k+1) satisfying ℓ+1<k+1\ell+1<k+1ℓ+1<k+1, let τℓ\tau_\ellτℓ swap positions ℓ\ellℓ and ℓ+1\ell+1ℓ+1, and let τℓ+1\tau_{\ell+1}τℓ+1 be the corresponding swap after the new index is added. Then

∇0(step⁡(h))−τℓ+1∇0(step⁡(h))=scale⁡(h) ∇0(−L)−1(∇0h−τℓ∇0h).\nabla_0(\operatorname{step}(h))-\tau_{\ell+1}\nabla_0(\operatorname{step}(h)) =\operatorname{scale}(h)\,\nabla_0(-L)^{-1}\bigl(\nabla_0h-\tau_\ell\nabla_0h\bigr).∇0(step(h))−τℓ+1∇0(step(h))=scale(h)∇0(−L)−1(∇0h−τℓ∇0h).

The permutations are represented by permField using Equiv.swap and finRotate.

This identity propagates approximate symmetry from one iterate to the next.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
