This is the effective-domain interior lemma corresponding to Lemma 16 of Cordero–Erausquin–Klartag (arXiv:1304.0630v1).

Let EEE be finite-dimensional, let μ\muμ be a finite Borel measure, and let x0x_0x0 lie in the interior of the convex hull of supp⁡μ\operatorname{supp}\musuppμ. Let ϕ:E→R‾\phi:E\to\overline{\mathbb R}ϕ:E→R satisfy:

  1. ϕ≥0\phi\geq0ϕ≥0;
  2. its real epigraph is convex;
  3. x↦ϕ(x).toENNReal⁡x\mapsto\phi(x).\operatorname{toENNReal}x↦ϕ(x).toENNReal is almost everywhere measurable;
  4. ∫∞ϕ.toENNReal⁡ dμ≠+∞\int^\infty \phi.\operatorname{toENNReal}\,d\mu\neq+\infty∫∞ϕ.toENNRealdμ=+∞.

Then

x0∈int⁡{x:ϕ(x)≠+∞}.x_0\in\operatorname{int}\{x:\phi(x)\neq+\infty\}.x0∈int{x:ϕ(x)=+∞}.

Thus finite extended-real integral control forces finiteness on a neighborhood of every interior support point.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
