This theorem establishes integrability of the gradient of a compactly supported function under every exponential tilt.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional complete real inner-product space, let mmm be a measure on EEE, and let V,f:E→RV,f:E\to\mathbb RV,f:E→R. If fff is C2C^2C2 and has compact support, then for every z∈Ez\in Ez∈E,

∇f∈L1 ⁣(expTilt⁡(m.tilted⁡(−V),z)).\nabla f\in L^1\!\left(\operatorname{expTilt}\bigl(m.\operatorname{tilted}(-V),z\bigr)\right).∇f∈L1(expTilt(m.tilted(−V),z)).

No regularity or integrability hypothesis on VVV is present in the type. This is a technical ingredient for integration by parts and tilt-average identities.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
