This is an integrability component related to Theorem 2.5 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1).

Let uuu be continuous with Lipschitz gradient, let η\etaη be continuous and compactly supported, and let hhh be any vector in EuclideanSpace⁡ R (Fin⁡(n))\operatorname{EuclideanSpace}\,\mathbb R\,(\operatorname{Fin}(n))EuclideanSpaceR(Fin(n)). Then the function

x↦η(x)(∑i,j(H(x+h)ij−H(x)ij)2+∑i,j(H(x−h)ij−H(x)ij)2)e−u(x),x\mapsto \eta(x)\left(\sum_{i,j}\bigl(H(x+h)_{ij}-H(x)_{ij}\bigr)^2+\sum_{i,j}\bigl(H(x-h)_{ij}-H(x)_{ij}\bigr)^2\right)e^{-u(x)},x↦η(x)(i,j∑(H(x+h)ij−H(x)ij)2+i,j∑(H(x−h)ij−H(x)ij)2)e−u(x),

where H(x)=hessianMatrix⁡(u,x)H(x)=\operatorname{hessianMatrix}(u,x)H(x)=hessianMatrix(u,x), is integrable with respect to volume.

This statement provides genuine L1L^1L1 control for the compactly weighted squared Hessian increments. It does not assert the main integrated Hessian bound.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
