This formalizes part of Lemma 2.4 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1), as an unweighted weak flux identity.

Let n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N, u:Rn→Ru:\mathbb R^n\to\mathbb Ru:Rn→R be C1C^1C1 with Lipschitz gradient, and let T(x)kijT(x)_{kij}T(x)kij be a tensor. Assume that, for every coordinate kkk and indices i,ji,ji,j, the component (∇2u)ij(\nabla^2u)_{ij}(∇2u)ij has weak derivative TkijT_{kij}Tkij in the kkk-th basis direction, with TkijT_{kij}Tkij belonging locally to L2L^2L2 on every compact set. Assume similarly that the entries of (∇2u)−1(\nabla^2u)^{-1}(∇2u)−1 have weak derivatives

−((∇2u)−1Tk(∇2u)−1)ij,-\bigl((\nabla^2u)^{-1}T_k(\nabla^2u)^{-1}\bigr)_{ij},−((∇2u)−1Tk(∇2u)−1)ij,

that these derivatives are compact-locally in L2L^2L2, and that the inverse-Hessian entries are compact-locally in L∞L^\inftyL∞ in the ENNReal sense. Finally, let QijQ_{ij}Qij be a tensor whose prescribed weak derivative is the trace of (∇2u)−1Ti(\nabla^2u)^{-1}T_i(∇2u)−1Ti and whose components are compact-locally in L2L^2L2.

Define

R=(∇2u)−1,Dkba=−(RTkR)ba,Jija=∑bRbaTbij,R=(\nabla^2u)^{-1},\qquad D_{kba}=-(RT_kR)_{ba},\qquad J_{ija}=\sum_bR_{ba}T_{bij},R=(∇2u)−1,Dkba=−(RTkR)ba,Jija=b∑RbaTbij,

and

Cij=Qij−∑a,bTiabDjba+∑bTbij∑aDaba.C_{ij}=Q_{ij}-\sum_{a,b}T_{iab}D_{jba} +\sum_bT_{bij}\sum_aD_{aba}.Cij=Qij−a,b∑TiabDjba+b∑Tbija∑Daba.

Then, for every i,j∈Fin⁡ni,j\in\operatorname{Fin} ni,j∈Finn, each JijaJ_{ija}Jija is compact-locally in L2L^2L2, CijC_{ij}Cij is locally integrable, and every compactly supported C1C^1C1 test function ψ\psiψ satisfies

∫∑aJija(x) ∂aψ(x) dx=−∫Cij(x)ψ(x) dx.\int\sum_aJ_{ija}(x)\,\partial_a\psi(x)\,dx =-\int C_{ij}(x)\psi(x)\,dx.∫a∑Jija(x)∂aψ(x)dx=−∫Cij(x)ψ(x)dx.

The result is a technical weak integration-by-parts identity reusable by weighted Hessian evolution statements.
