This is an auxiliary strong-convergence statement for the generated semigroup.

Let H0,H1H_0,H_1H0,H1 be real complete inner-product spaces, let T:H0→H1T:H_0\to H_1T:H0→H1 be closed with dense domain, and write A=T†TA=T^\dagger TA=T†T. For every y∈D(A)y\in D(A)y∈D(A),

Pt(Ay)⟶0(t→∞).P_t(Ay)\longrightarrow0\qquad(t\to\infty).Pt(Ay)⟶0(t→∞).

Thus the semigroup converges strongly to zero on vectors in the range of AAA.

This result is the basic range-level convergence estimate used in extending convergence to the closure of the range.

Formalization Note. The limit is expressed as Tendsto along real t tending to atTop; the semigroup is Generated.apply T hT hd.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
