This theorem gives a finite measure domination on compact sets.

Let VVV be a measurable Borel normed space, let mmm be an additive Haar measure, let ν\nuν be a probability measure, and let U:V→RU:V\to\mathbb RU:V→R be continuous with ν=m.tilted⁡(−U)\nu=m.\operatorname{tilted}(-U)ν=m.tilted(−U). For every compact set K⊆VK\subseteq VK⊆V, there exists c∈[0,∞]c\in[0,\infty]c∈[0,∞] such that c≠∞c\ne\inftyc=∞ and

m ⁣↾K≤c ν.m\!\restriction_K\le c\,\nu.m↾K≤cν.

Thus the restriction of Haar measure to any compact set is dominated by a finite scalar multiple of the tilted law. The result is used to obtain local integrability with respect to Haar measure from L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) information.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
