This formalizes a partial regularity package related to Lemmas 2.2 and Theorem 2.5 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1).

Assume n≥1n\ge1n≥1, κ>0\kappa>0κ>0, KKK is compact and convex with nonempty interior, WWW is smooth, W−κ2∥⋅∥2W-\frac\kappa2\|\cdot\|^2W−2κ∥⋅∥2 is convex, and an isotropic probability measure μ\muμ has density 1Ke−W\mathbf{1}_K e^{-W}1Ke−W with respect to Lebesgue measure. Then there exist uuu, LLL, LFL_FLF, and a tensor TTT such that:

  1. uuu is convex, LLL-Lipschitz, C1C^1C1, normalized by ∫e−u=1\int e^{-u}=1∫e−u=1, and its tilted measure maps under ∇u\nabla u∇u to μ\muμ.
  2. ∇u\nabla u∇u is (16/κ)(16/\kappa)(16/κ)-Lipschitz.
  3. −u+W∘∇u-u+W\circ\nabla u−u+W∘∇u is LFL_FLF-Lipschitz and
u(x+h)+u(x−h)−2u(x)≤4κ∥h∥2.u(x+h)+u(x-h)-2u(x)\le\frac4\kappa\|h\|^2.u(x+h)+u(x−h)−2u(x)≤κ4∥h∥2.
  1. Almost everywhere, Hu≻0H_u\succ0Hu≻0, log⁡det⁡Hu=−u+W(∇u)\log\det H_u=-u+W(\nabla u)logdetHu=−u+W(∇u), and (16/κ)I−Hu⪰0(16/\kappa)I-H_u\succeq0(16/κ)I−Hu⪰0.
  2. TTT is the weak directional derivative tensor of HuH_uHu, with every component locally in L2L^2L2 on compact sets.

No further classical Hessian regularity is included.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
