This theorem establishes existence of a diffusion on a Brownian filtered probability space. Let (Ω,P)(\Omega,P)(Ω,P) be a probability space, let WWW be a ddd-dimensional Brownian motion, and let F\mathcal FF be a right-continuous filtration making each coordinate Brownian. Assume the filtration ordering and null-set hypotheses in the statement. Let

b:RN→RN,σ:RN→(Rd→RN),b:\mathbb R^N\to\mathbb R^N,\qquad \sigma:\mathbb R^N\to(\mathbb R^d\to\mathbb R^N),b:RN→RN,σ:RN→(Rd→RN),

and let K∈[0,∞)K\in[0,\infty)K∈[0,∞) be an NNReal. Suppose bbb and every x↦σ(x,k)x\mapsto\sigma(x,k)x↦σ(x,k) are KKK-Lipschitz. Suppose also that for some B∈RB\in\mathbb RB∈R,

∥b(x)∥≤B,∥σ(x,k)∥≤B\|b(x)\|\leq B,\qquad \|\sigma(x,k)\|\leq B∥b(x)∥≤B,∥σ(x,k)∥≤B

for all xxx and kkk. Then for every initial state x0∈RNx_0\in\mathbb R^Nx0∈RN there exists a path map Y:R→Ω→RNY:\mathbb R\to\Omega\to\mathbb R^NY:R→Ω→RN such that IsDiffusion W ℱ hW b σ x₀ Y holds. The bundled predicate supplies the diffusion's measurability, adaptedness, continuity, and Itô representation properties.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
