This is a measurability lemma for a second-order Taylor remainder.

Let EEE be a second-countable normed real vector space with its Borel measurable structure. Let f:E→Rf:E\to\mathbb Rf:E→R, f′:E→(E→R)f':E\to(E\to\mathbb R)f′:E→(E→R), and f′′:E→(E→(E→R))f'':E\to(E\to(E\to\mathbb R))f′′:E→(E→(E→R)) be continuous, with the derivative-valued maps interpreted as continuous linear maps. Let xi:Ω→Ex_i:\Omega\to Exi:Ω→E be measurable for every i∈Ni\in\mathbb Ni∈N. Then, for every m∈Nm\in\mathbb Nm∈N,

ω⟼taylorRemainderNormed⁡(f,f′,f′′,(xi(ω))i∈N,m)\omega\longmapsto \operatorname{taylorRemainderNormed}(f,f',f'',(x_i(\omega))_{i\in\mathbb N},m)ω⟼taylorRemainderNormed(f,f′,f′′,(xi(ω))i∈N,m)

is measurable.

This technical result supplies measurability of the grid Taylor remainder used in vector Itô-formula estimates.

Formalization Note The exact derivative objects are Lean ContinuousLinearMaps, and the remainder is the definition taylorRemainderNormed.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
