This lemma states existence of an exponential norm moment for the graph law from two separate exponential-moment assumptions.

Let n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N, E=RnE=\mathbb R^nE=Rn (EuclideanSpace ℝ (Fin n)), μ\muμ a probability measure on EEE, and f:E→Rf:E\to\mathbb Rf:E→R measurable. Let a,s>0a,s>0a,s>0 and assume

  1. x↦ea∣f(x)∣∈L1(μ)x\mapsto e^{a|f(x)|}\in L^1(\mu)x↦ea∣f(x)∣∈L1(μ).
  2. x↦es∥x∥∈L1(μ)x\mapsto e^{s\|x\|}\in L^1(\mu)x↦es∥x∥∈L1(μ).

Let G:E→ROption⁡(Fin⁡n)G:E\to\mathbb R^{\operatorname{Option}(\operatorname{Fin}n)}G:E→ROption(Finn) be the Euclidean graph map with G(x)none=f(x)G(x)_{\mathrm{none}}=f(x)G(x)none=f(x) and G(x)some(j)=xjG(x)_{\mathrm{some}(j)}=x_jG(x)some(j)=xj, and let Γ=G∗μ\Gamma=G_*\muΓ=G∗μ (Measure.map). Then

∃t∈R,t>0 and y↦et∥y∥∈L1(Γ).\exists t\in\mathbb R,\quad t>0\ \text{and}\ y\mapsto e^{t\|y\|}\in L^1(\Gamma).∃t∈R,t>0 and y↦et∥y∥∈L1(Γ).

This provides a local norm-moment condition on the joint vector (f(x),x)(f(x),x)(f(x),x) for subsequent transform calculations. Only existence of a positive rate is asserted.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
