This statement formalizes the tensor identity corresponding to Lemma 3.6 of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1).

Let EEE be a real inner-product space that is complete and measurable, let μ\muμ be a measure on EEE, and let g:E→Rg:E\to\mathbb Rg:E→R and G:E→EG:E\to EG:E→E. Assume:

  1. The tilt average FG=tiltAverage⁡(μ,G)F_G=\operatorname{tiltAverage}(\mu,G)FG=tiltAverage(μ,G) is infinitely continuously differentiable.
  2. The tilt average of ggg satisfies, for every w∈Ew\in Ew∈E,
Fg(w)=⟨w,FG(w)⟩.F_g(w)=\langle w,F_G(w)\rangle.Fg(w)=⟨w,FG(w)⟩.
  1. d∈Nd\in\mathbb Nd∈N.

Then

Td+1g=symmetrizeML⁡(appendInner⁡(TdG)).T_{d+1}g=\operatorname{symmetrizeML}\bigl(\operatorname{appendInner}(T_dG)\bigr).Td+1g=symmetrizeML(appendInner(TdG)).

The result isolates the tensor consequence of the tilt identity and can be reused independently of compact-support assumptions used elsewhere.

Formalization Note The statement has no finite-dimensionality or Borel-space hypothesis. The definitions tiltAverage, taylorTensor, appendInner, and symmetrizeML are used exactly as Lean defines them.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
