This is a normalization lemma for a finite real representative of a Legendre transform.

Let EEE be a real inner-product space with Borel measurable structure, let dxdxdx be a measure, let q:E→R‾q:E\to\overline{\mathbb{R}}q:E→R, and let ψ:E→R\psi:E\to\mathbb{R}ψ:E→R. Assume

q∗(x)=ψ(x)in R‾ for every x,q^*(x)=\psi(x)\quad\text{in }\overline{\mathbb{R}}\text{ for every }x,q∗(x)=ψ(x)in R for every x,

and

mass⁡dx(q∗)=1.\operatorname{mass}_{dx}(q^*)=1.massdx(q∗)=1.

Then e−ψe^{-\psi}e−ψ is Bochner integrable with respect to dxdxdx, its integral is one, and the weighted measure weightedMeasure dx (fun x => (ψ x : EReal)) is a probability measure:

∫e−ψ(x) dx=1.\int e^{-\psi(x)}\,dx=1.∫e−ψ(x)dx=1.

The declaration converts the finite extended-real conjugate mass into real integrability and probability normalization.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
