For a real inner-product space EEE and φ:E→R‾\varphi:E\to\overline{\mathbb{R}}φ:E→R, ConvexPotential φ means that φ\varphiφ never equals −∞-\infty−∞ and that its real epigraph is convex, while ProperPotential φ additionally requires at least one finite value. legendre φ y is the extended-real supremum sup⁡x(⟨x,y⟩−φ(x))\sup_x(\langle x,y\rangle-\varphi(x))supx(⟨x,y⟩−φ(x)), and lowerTruncate φ M is max⁡(φ(x),−M)\max(\varphi(x),-M)max(φ(x),−M) pointwise; the module includes order, convexity, semicontinuity, and truncation auxiliary results.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
