This technical lemma gives uniform bounds for every fixed derivative order of the scaled cutoff.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space and let n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N. There exists C∈RC\in\mathbb RC∈R such that for every R≥1R\ge1R≥1 and every x∈Ex\in Ex∈E,

∥Dncutoff⁡(R)(x)∥≤C.\left\|D^n\operatorname{cutoff}(R)(x)\right\|\le C.∥Dncutoff(R)(x)∥≤C.

The constant depends on nnn and EEE but is independent of R≥1R\ge1R≥1 and xxx. This estimate supports cutoff approximation arguments for functions of polynomial growth.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
