This is a rough weak-test version of the inverse-Hessian generator identity associated with Lemma A.5 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1).

Let u,V,χ:Rn→Ru,V,\chi:\mathbb R^n\to\mathbb Ru,V,χ:Rn→R be C1C^1C1, with uuu having Lipschitz gradient and χ\chiχ having Lipschitz gradient and compact support. Assume −u+V∘∇u-u+V\circ\nabla u−u+V∘∇u is Lipschitz and

det⁡∇2u=exp⁡(−u+V(∇u))\det\nabla^2u=\exp(-u+V(\nabla u))det∇2u=exp(−u+V(∇u))

a.e. Assume compact-local ENNReal L∞L^\inftyL∞ bounds for the entries of (∇2u)−1(\nabla^2u)^{-1}(∇2u)−1 and integrability of

(tr⁡((∇2u)−1∇2χ)−∇V(∇u)⋅∇χ)e−u.\left(\operatorname{tr}((\nabla^2u)^{-1}\nabla^2\chi) -\nabla V(\nabla u)\cdot\nabla\chi\right)e^{-u}.(tr((∇2u)−1∇2χ)−∇V(∇u)⋅∇χ)e−u.

Let η\etaη be locally integrable and bounded by CCC, and let aia_iai be its weak coordinate derivatives, compact-locally in L2L^2L2.

Then both displayed pairings are integrable and

∫η(x)(tr⁡((∇2u(x))−1∇2χ(x))−∇V(∇u(x))⋅∇χ(x))e−u(x) dx\int \eta(x)\left(\operatorname{tr}((\nabla^2u(x))^{-1}\nabla^2\chi(x)) -\nabla V(\nabla u(x))\cdot\nabla\chi(x)\right)e^{-u(x)}\,dx∫η(x)(tr((∇2u(x))−1∇2χ(x))−∇V(∇u(x))⋅∇χ(x))e−u(x)dx =−∫(∑i,j(∇2u(x))ij−1ai(x)∂jχ(x))e−u(x) dx.=-\int\left(\sum_{i,j}(\nabla^2u(x))^{-1}_{ij}a_i(x)\partial_j\chi(x)\right)e^{-u(x)}\,dx.=−∫(i,j∑(∇2u(x))ij−1ai(x)∂jχ(x))e−u(x)dx.

This is the rough testing interface used for bounded weak functions against height cutoffs.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
