WeightedGradient.smoothCore ν is the submodule of real L²(ν) consisting of classes represented by globally smooth compactly supported functions. Such functions are globally Lipschitz, have compactly supported weighted gradients, and are weighted-gradient tests; dense_smoothCore states that this submodule is dense in L²(ν). Under absolute continuity with respect to a Haar measure, the smooth core lies in the operator domain and the domain is dense. If the weighted gradient operator is closable and its support frontier is ν-null, exists_smoothCore_tendsto and closure_domRestrict_smoothCore state that restriction to the smooth core has the same closure; the same holds for any intermediate submodule between the smooth core and the full domain.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
