This is a marginal-law statement for a real Brownian motion.

Let (Ω,F,P)(\Omega,\mathcal F,P)(Ω,F,P) be a probability space, let WWW be a BrownianMotion under PPP, and let t∈[0,∞)t\in[0,\infty)t∈[0,∞) be represented as an NNReal. Then the random variable ω↦Wt(ω)\omega\mapsto W_t(\omega)ω↦Wt(ω) has the centered Gaussian law with variance ttt:

Law⁡P(Wt)=N(0,t).\operatorname{Law}_P(W_t)=\mathcal N(0,t).LawP(Wt)=N(0,t).

Here gaussianReal 0 t denotes the Gaussian probability measure with mean 000 and variance parameter ttt. The result includes the case t=0t=0t=0, where the law is concentrated at 000.

This provides the one-time marginal required when relating the library's Brownian-motion construction to Mathlib's Brownian-motion predicates.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
