Let WWW be a Brownian motion on a probability space (Ω,P)(\Omega,P)(Ω,P). Viewed at nonnegative times, the process t↦Wtt\mapsto W_tt↦Wt has independent increments in the sense of HasIndepIncrements:

HasIndepIncrements⁡(t↦Wt) P.\operatorname{HasIndepIncrements}\bigl(t\mapsto W_t\bigr)\,P.HasIndepIncrements(t↦Wt)P.

Equivalently, for every finite nondecreasing sequence of nonnegative times, the successive increments are mutually independent. This connects the project's Brownian-motion structure with the standard probability-theoretic independent-increments predicate.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
